Fund Co-Founders
Toni Azinger
Toni Azinger, a graduate of Florida State University and wife to PGA champion golfer, winning Ryder Cup Captain and veteran golf broadcaster Paul Azinger, brings three decades of experience as a PGA Tour spouse to her journey as a changemaker and compassionate leader. As a founding member of the PGA Tour Wives Association, a distinguished non-profit organization, Toni dedicated herself to supporting numerous charities, particularly those benefiting children and military families. Established in 1988 by wives of PGA Tour golfers, the association is committed to raising funds and providing support to communities associated with each stop on the tour.
At the helm of the One More Child’s Women of Compassion Collective for 16 years, Toni leads a transformative group of women driven by a shared passion for One More Child’s mission of providing Christ-centered services to vulnerable children and struggling families. Her visionary leadership extends to the Azinger Compassion Center, a pioneering multi-purpose donation and distribution center founded alongside her husband Paul. This center serves as a beacon of hope, offering life-changing resources to foster children, hungry children, trafficked children, single mothers, and struggling families from surrounding communities.
Toni Azinger is the co-founder of the Florida Human Trafficking Victims Fund, a privately created initiative born from her partnership with friend and fellow anti-trafficking advocate, Sara Mahoney. In their roles as chief fundraisers, Sara and Toni will spearhead efforts to support law enforcement in Florida’s fight against human trafficking, aiding in the identification, recovery, and stabilization of victims of both sex and labor trafficking. This fund represents a pivotal step in enhancing law enforcement’s capacity to combat trafficking statewide, providing crucial additional support to their tireless efforts.
Appointed by Former Florida Senate President Bill Galvano, Toni served since 2019 as a board member of the Florida Alliance to End Human Trafficking, a direct service organization dedicated to bolstering anti-trafficking efforts across the state of Florida.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Toni is a devoted mother to two grown daughters whom she homeschooled, two wonderful son-in-laws and a proud grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren. She resides in Bradenton, Florida, with her husband Paul.
Sara Mahoney
Sara Mahoney, in collaboration with her friend and fellow anti-human trafficking advocate Toni Azinger, is the co-founder of the Florida Human Trafficking Victims Fund. This first of its kind initiative in the US, the Fund is designed to support the efforts of Florida’s law enforcement agencies in identifying, rescuing, and stabilizing victims of sex and labor trafficking. A privately created initiative, the Fund will be based out of the Florida Sheriffs Association.
For many years, Sara has been a part of the battle against human trafficking, both in New York and Florida. Prior to dedicating herself to raising her four children and pursuing humanitarian causes, Sara served as New York Governor George Pataki’s Press Secretary in New York City, following a tenure as Communications Director during Senator Pataki’s incumbency in the New York State Senate.
Sara has contributed over twenty-five years of service as a member of the Board of Directors for My Sisters’ Place, the largest agency in New York striving to eradicate domestic violence and human trafficking through multifaceted services, advocacy, and education. Presently, she serves as the Chair of their Honorary Advisory Committee.
Appointed by Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody in 2019, Sara assumed the role of founding board member and vice chair of the Florida Alliance to End Human Trafficking, a direct service organization created by the state legislature to assist the statewide anti-human trafficking efforts. Sara currently chairs the Advisory Board of the US Institute Against Human Trafficking, a Tampa-based national organization dedicated to eradicating human trafficking by targeting demand, rescuing victims, and providing sanctuary to under-age male survivors.
Sara is also co-founder of Tampa Athletes Unite, a collective of athletes from the Tampa Bay region raising awareness of human trafficking and empowering those marginalized through sport.
Residing in Tampa, Florida, Sara shares her home with her husband, Kieran, and their four children.
