“As a survivor of human trafficking, I know firsthand how critical it is that victims have immediate access to safe housing, food, toiletries, and transportation when they are recovered—because meeting those basic needs is the first step toward healing and rebuilding.”
– Savannah Parvu, Survivor Leader
OUR MISSION
The Florida Human Trafficking Victims Fund is a privately created fund established to support law enforcement efforts to identify, rescue and stabilize victims of human trafficking in Florida. The Fund is administered through the Florida Sheriffs Association.
Award distributions are determined by the Florida Sherrif’s Association Human Trafficking Committee.
Sheriff Chad Chronister, Chair of the Florida Sheriffs Association Human Trafficking Committee, emphasized the power of public-private partnerships in combating human trafficking:
“By working together private citizens, foundations, and law enforcement—we are creating a powerful force to combat human trafficking. Together, we can rescue victims and provide them with the tools they need to heal and start a new chapter in their lives,” said Sheriff Chronister. “The Florida Human Trafficking Victims Fund is more than a resource; it’s a lifeline for victims. Our mission is clear: to safeguard Florida’s most vulnerable and hold perpetrators accountable.”

Under the guidance of Sheriff Chad Chronister and his esteemed colleagues, Sheriff Michelle Cook and Sheriff Rick Ramsey, the Florida Sheriffs Association has established the FSA Human Trafficking Committee. Comprised of exemplary sheriffs, this committee represents incredible leadership in crime-fighting and a dedication to protecting the citizens of Florida.
Across our state’s 67 sheriff’s offices, proactive initiatives are undertaken to combat human trafficking. With the added support from the Florida Human Trafficking Victims Fund, sheriffs will have additional resources where they are most urgently needed, further bolstering our collective efforts to combat this crime. Award distribution will be decided on a case by case basis by the FSA Human Trafficking Committee, ensuring maximum impact for trafficking victims.
Florida’s elected leadership, guided by Attorney General Ashley Moody and supported by the FSA Human Trafficking Committee and our sheriffs, shines brightly in this critical mission. Let us all stand united in our support of their efforts.
